About Safety and Security

About Safety and Security
Approximately 1/5 of Japan's red sea bream (farmed) is produced in Ainan-cho
For farmed red sea bream, we work with Yasutaka Suisan and Usa Suisan, which are among the top producers in Japan, as well as small and medium-sized producers in Ainan-cho, to ensure stable shipments throughout the year.
Shipping businesses comply with the number of cages, number of fish, and breeding density for each fishing ground, and are particularly conscious of sustainable aquaculture.

Activities

We support the "safe and secure aquaculture industry" in Japan's number one red sea bream producing area, a community-wide effort.
Activities
The Ainan Fisheries Cooperative, Ainan-cho, and Ehime University are collaborating to conduct an environmental monitoring survey. We are working to detect changes in the ocean's environment in advance and work to reduce red tide damage and improve the aquaculture environment.
Activities
We operate the "Fish Disease Diagnosis Room" in cooperation with Ainan-cho, where we conduct health checkups and fish disease tests on farmed fish. In addition to having a fish epidemic prevention officer (fish doctor) on duty, we have introduced a fish electronic medical record system to promote healthy fish production.
Activities
In collaboration with Ehime University, we conduct red tide monitoring surveys and regularly check the state of the sea.
Activities
We regularly outsource chemical residue tests and heavy metal tests to external testing organizations.
